ABOUT THE OWNER – MR ANAND PANCHOLY
The concept of Indian Summer started long before the inception. Anand grew up in the busy city of Mumbai, India. Where he learnt how to cook just like the best chef in the world, none other than his mother of course.
South Africa was always a place that he dreamed of coming to, where it is less crowded, with more greenery and obviously Durban’s sea view. He planned on getting away from the hustle and bustle of Mumbai, to pursue a life in hospitality, something completely opposite to what he qualified in, Bcom in Accounting.
Traditionally in India, culture goes without saying that your duty is to be a good host. That is exactly what Indian Summer embodies. They strive in serving guests by treating you like family. With warm smiles and friendly greetings as soon as you walk through the door to the soul satisfying dishes they serve.
